I am not a hairstylist. I build relationships.

In 2007, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. After the initial shock, I went into research mode. I wanted to know the ins and outs of breast cancer, and why it affects us the way it does. I learned SO much. In fact, it is what drove me to focus on natural hair. Learning about the chemicals in relaxers, and how it ultimately effects us, immediately putting a stop to performing that service. I began to encourage clients to go natural or stay natural, and as my career progressed, I began to perfect the niche of not only natural hair, but locs specifically. This led me on a wonderful path of discovery, in finding my ultimate passion in locs and all that entails. I mastered natural hair in a way that not only included growing, maintaining and cultivating natural hair and locs, but coloring it as well. I love what I do. I take every clients hair personal, and call my loc clients specifically my loc babies.

My curiosity is also what led me to create my hair care line. I wanted to address specific issues that plague our community, that I have seen and addressed countless times in my own salon space. I worked on, created, erased, started over and ultimately perfected my ingredients to make quality products that actually work.

Making these products, and focusing my energy on building relationships with my clients, is my passion. I never wanted to just be a good hairstylist, I wanted to know my client through their hair, I want to build repertoire, and relationship with each of my clients. When a client is using my products I want them to feel the same love and care that they do when I am touching their scalp.
