Welcome to A Kurly Salon! Since the age of 12, I knew I was destined for this wonderful career of hair design. My name is Andrea Kelly and I specialize in Curly Hair! After working in the industry for 20 years, I found my passion with Ouidad... an amazing technique of cutting and styling curly hair that has changed my life and career! I pride myself in the fact of being the very first Ouidad certified stylist in Illinois. I was trained by the hands of Ouidad herself; the creator and developer of the technique and product line, which is something not too many other stylists can say. She taught me the art of cutting and styling curly hair so that I may teach anyone with curls, no matter how loose, tight, or frizzy, to manage and maintain their beautiful hair with ease. Throughout my 30+ years of hair design, I have always love coloring and cutting hair. I have trained with Redken, and All-Nutrient hair colors. Aside from my Ouidad training in NYC, I also went to Beverly Hills to become certified in Yuko Japanese straightening which actually helped prepare me for working with many different textures of curly hair. Funny how sometimes its clear to see how things become full circle. Throughout my career, I have felt fortunate to walk into the salon everyday and LOVE my job! I believe sharing my knowledge with my clients and teaching them techniques they can use at home to create the look they want is rewarding.
